Nano-CEMMS participates in several museum programs aimed toward building a nanotechnology workforce and raising public awareness of the upcoming opportunities and societal implications of nanomanufacturing.

Educators at the Children's Discovery Museum in Normal, Illinois, use the Nano-CEMMS education modules in their Learning Labs program for middle school students.  Learning labs are 45-minute interactive programs with hands-on activities and experiments.

Science educators at the Tech Museum of Innovation in San Jose, CA, used a Nano-CEMMS traveling exhibit on stretchable silicon to teach youth and adults about emerging technologies.

Students at Next Generation Middle School in Champaign participate as “Weekend Wizards” at the Orpheum Children’s Museum in Champaign.  Students make presentations to parents and children and explain what they have been doing with nanotechnology projects in their school.
