Research Home Goals

The overarching goal of the Center’s research is to develop and integrate the science and engineering necessary to realize a scalable, economical and flexible approach to manufacturing at the nanoscale.

Research is focused on the following objectives:

  • Develop processes and tools for nanomanufacturing components, devices and systems with ‘controlled’ scalability, repeatability, robustness, and economic viability.
Work here centers on the creation of nanoscale structures, the placement and integration of dissimilar structures, and the knowledge of the state of matter.
  • Demonstrate the integrated use of these processes and tools by producing a working device.
Two applications that will prove the viability of the processes and tools – organic optoelectronics and a combinatorial chemistry chip.
