  • E-Jet Toolbit Team: Basic Studies

The team is involved in experiments and modeling to understand the behavior of the liquid at the tip of the nozzle during the instability that results in the formation and emission of a single drop. High speed camera visualization allows for the observation of the liquid meniscus during such an event.

This information is being used in computation models to predict the volume of a drop emitted and relate volume and frequency of drops to controllable process parameters like nozzle geometry and applied electric field.
